Frequently Asked Questions
How cold is the cold plunge?
We keep it between 39-45°F. Cold enough to work, manageable enough to build up to. First-timers start with shorter dips and work their way up.
How long should I stay in?
Most people start with 1-2 minutes and build to 3-5 over time. It's not about surviving the longest-it's about consistency. We'll guide you.
Is it safe if I have health conditions?
Cold exposure isn't for everyone. If you have heart conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, or are pregnant, check with your doctor first. We'll walk through your history before your first session.
What should I wear?
Swimsuit works. We provide towels and a private changing area. Keep it simple.
Can I do cold plunge with sauna?
Absolutely-that's contrast therapy, and it's one of our most popular combos. Sauna heats you up, cold plunge shocks the system, repeat. You'll feel incredible.
Is cold plunge the same as cryotherapy?
Different mechanism. Cryotherapy chambers blast you with -200°F nitrogen vapor for 2-3 minutes-cold air, no water. Cold plunge is full water immersion at 39-45°F. Water removes heat ~25x faster than air, so cold plunge produces a deeper systemic response with less risk of frostbite. We offer cold plunge, not cryotherapy chambers, because the research is stronger and the experience is more controllable.
